Western Title & Escrow is leading the charge to comply with the American Land and Title Association’s (ALTA) best practices. One of seven best practices, offered by ALTA for title companies, focuses on the protection of clients’ Non-public Personal Information (NPI) pursuant to local, state and federal consumer protection laws.

We believe it’s our duty to be proactive in this area: both for our partners, and for their clients who deserve our due diligence in this important matter. Complying with ALTA best practices and meeting the new legal requirements of the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act requires more than ensuring the secure sending of emails between our 130 employees and their agents, lenders and underwriters. It requires the revamping of our entire IT system, the revision of all of our written policies and procedures and the adoption and management of a written Privacy and Information Security program.

This web page will keep you updated on the progress of our company-wide initiative. Rest assured protecting confidential, non-public information for all who do business with us is a company priority.

Founded in 1907, ALTA is a national trade association headquartered in Washington D.C. They serve as a voice and advocate for the title industry.
